House is 25+ years old
If the property hasn't been rewired since the 1990s, the wiring system is likely below current regs and degrading.
Full and partial rewires for homeowners and landlords, quoted in writing, planned around your life and certified on completion. Most rewires take 5–10 working days depending on the size of the property.
Most rewires happen for one of these reasons. If two or three sound familiar, it's worth booking an EICR before you decide.
If the property hasn't been rewired since the 1990s, the wiring system is likely below current regs and degrading.
Original lighting circuits, rubber or cloth cabling and round-pin sockets are usually beyond repair and need replacing.
Repeated tripping, warm sockets or scorch marks behind faceplates are signs the installation is failing.
If the property is being extended or substantially renovated, it's cheaper to rewire now than to retrofit after plaster.
Where the report shows widespread issues, a rewire is often more economical than circuit-by-circuit remedials.
Buyers want certified electrics. Landlords need a satisfactory EICR. A rewire is the cleanest way to get both.
A typical 3-bed rewire bundles all of the below into one fixed quote. No surprise extras at the end of the job.
New copper cabling throughout, run neatly through joists and stud walls, terminated in modern back-boxes.
Dual-RCD or all-RCBO modern board sized for the finished property, with surge protection where specified.
Bathroom and kitchen wiring brought up to current zoning, IP ratings and protection requirements.
Mains-wired interlinked detection installed to BS 5839-6, required for rewires under current regs.
Every circuit tested, an Electrical Installation Certificate issued and Part P notification submitted.
Chases filled, floors covered through the work, all waste removed, everything cleaned down before we leave.
Three stages, no surprises. The same flow whether it's a 2-bed flat or a 4-bed family home.
We check the existing installation, understand what you want changed or added, and flag anything the EICR would pick up.
Covers first fix, second fix, consumer unit, testing and certification. Stage payments agreed up front.
Every circuit tested. EIC and Part P notification sent over for your records when we hand back the keys.

Aaron was excellent. Couldn't thank him enough. He was very helpful and understanding with what we needed. Would definitely recommend and use again. Wish I found his company sooner.
Aaron and Fin carried out all the electrical work during my home renovation and extension. From start to finish they were professional, reliable and extremely knowledgeable. They kept me informed throughout the whole process.
Aaron did a great job of replacing my old consumer unit, installing new plug sockets and fire alarms. Fast, efficient, tidy and charged a reasonable price. Recommend.
Most domestic rewires take 5–10 working days. A 2-bed flat is usually closer to 5; a 4-bed family home with extensions can be 10+. We'll give you a concrete timeline in the written quote.
Usually not. We work in stages so at least part of the property stays powered most of the time. Heavy plaster work after first fix is where most people stay elsewhere for a couple of nights if they can.
Yes. A partial rewire targets only the circuits that need replacing (e.g. just upstairs, or just the kitchen). It's a big chunk cheaper than a full rewire when the existing system is mostly sound.
An Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) covering the new work, plus a Part P notification submitted to your local authority. Both go into your home file and stay with the property when you sell.
