Office areas, corridors and customer-facing training suites pulled forward in a single LED scheme, energy costs brought back inside budget.
Trumpf brought us in to take the Luton facility's lighting from a tired legacy install to a modern, low-energy scheme, including the reception breakroom with its blue LED cove, the bespoke pendant-lit corridors and the customer training suites where their machinery is shown to visitors.
A full LED upgrade across the working areas of the Luton facility, front-of-house reception and breakroom, the long pendant-lit corridors that link the building together, the training and auditorium rooms used for customer sessions, and the office areas behind the scenes. Mixed ceiling types throughout: suspended panel grids, plasterboard finish and exposed structure.
The scheme was specified room-by-room with Trumpf's facilities team, efficacy, colour temperature and dimming behaviour matched to what each space is actually used for. A polished reception breakroom doesn't want the same light as an auditorium, and an auditorium doesn't want the same light as a circulation corridor.
Installation was timed around the working day so customer-facing areas stayed open. First-fix prep happened out of hours where possible; second fix and commissioning kept the noisier work confined to areas already being used as storage.
A cleaner, lower-load lighting scheme that lifts every part of the facility, front-of-house feels like the showroom standard you'd expect from a Trumpf site, and the back-of-house spaces benefit from the same panel and downlight upgrades. Full handover pack delivered to facilities at completion.
