Trumpf's UK site asked us to take their lighting load down across office, corridor and customer-suite areas. We did it room-by-room, in the evenings and weekends, so the day job kept moving.
Trumpf UK runs customer training, demos and back-office work out of the Luton site. The old lighting was a mix of T5 fluorescent fittings and tired downlights, running too hot, drawing too much, and starting to look dated to the customers walking those corridors. The brief was a full LED retrofit across office areas, corridors, the training auditorium and the customer-facing suites, without disrupting any of the activity going on inside them.
The work happened in evening and weekend phases, room by room, so Trumpf's daytime operations kept running. Reception got a custom cove-lit kitchenette feature. Corridors picked up bespoke pendant runs sized to the ceiling rhythm. Training and meeting rooms moved to LED panels with daylight-matching colour temperatures, and the customer suites got recessed downlights and accent lighting through their branded zones.
The campus pulls noticeably less load on lighting than it used to, which has put their facilities-budget conversations back inside a comfortable band. Just as importantly: the customer-facing rooms now look the way Trumpf wants visitors to remember them, clean, considered, on-brand. They've kept us on the call sheet for whatever's next.
