Very Well Hung is a North London service-area business based around Edgware, established in 1998. It makes handmade, made-to-measure curtains, blinds, shutters and soft furnishings such as cushions, pelmets, tie-backs, tracks and poles. There is no showroom: the owner visits customers at home to advise on fabrics and finishes, measure and fit.
What we're building
Three concept directions. Before writing a line of the real site, Automika built three working concepts so the owner could react to a real choice rather than a brief: a premium made-to-measure direction, a trusted local specialist direction, and a trade and property partner direction. Each one changes what the homepage leads with, which services are promoted and who the enquiry form is written for.
A Google Business Profile setup pack. Recommended primary and secondary categories, a services list, a business description, and service areas listed as towns and boroughs around North and North West London, set up as a service-area business with the address hidden.
The website rebuild. A new site with a clear path for commercial, office and trade enquiries alongside the home customer: separate pages for curtains, blinds, shutters and soft furnishings, and an enquiry route on every page that captures which kind of customer is asking.
Why we're building it this way
Positioning comes first because the copy, the page structure and even the Google Business Profile categories all depend on which work the business wants more of, and settling that with working concepts is cheaper than rebuilding twice. The business has no public reviews yet, so the site does not pretend otherwise: credibility comes from the work and a business trading since 1998, not from claims that cannot be checked.
What happens next
The rebuilt website launches, the Google Business Profile goes live from the setup pack, and enquiries are tracked by source and by type so that home, commercial and trade work can be told apart from day one. Results will be published here only when they are measured, time-bound and approved by the client.
